Can anyone please explain me the meaning of remote webdriver.

RemoteWebDriver is a class that provides a WebDriver interface to a remote server. Browser driver classes such as FirefoxDriver, ChromeDriver, InternetExplorerDriver, etc., extend the Remote WebDriver class. Selenium RemoteWebDriver is used to run a browser automation suite on a remote machine.
