Safari’s “request desktop site” option often fails to load the real desktop version of websites on iPhone.
I’ve only come across two apps that claim to offer full desktop mode (Desktop Browser and Full Browser ), but they don’t feel like good browsers.
Has any well-known browser finally implemented a proper desktop browsing experience on iOS?
If you’re seeking a browser that provides a more authentic desktop experience on your iPhone, Zoomable might be worth considering. It simulates a large, resizable screen, displaying the desktop version of websites, which can be particularly useful for sites that don’t render well on mobile. This approach aims to replicate the desktop browsing experience more closely than traditional mobile browsers.
Opera is another browser that offers a “Desktop Site” option. While it doesn’t force desktop mode universally, it allows you to request the desktop version of a site when needed. This can be handy for accessing desktop-specific features or layouts.
Brave is a privacy-focused browser that also includes a “Request Desktop Site” feature. Users have noted that while it doesn’t automatically load desktop versions of sites, it provides a straightforward way to switch to them when necessary.
