Http Basic Authentication

I am trying to test my website which uses http basic authentication and I am not able to work through it on Safari, it works on Chrome though.

HTTP basic authentication is not supported by the Safari browser itself. HTTP authentication is incompatible among the majority of the web browser. It is supported by only Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
