How do I record my screen with Python?
Recording your screen with Python is a simple process, but it can be more difficult than you might think. It’s useful to record the screen when creating tutorials, making educational videos, or just sending friends a link of something funny that happened while you were playing your favorite game.
There are many helpful programs and websites out there that allow you to record your screen. Some of these programs can only be used for recording certain parts of the screen (like Fraps), making it hard to show multiple windows at once. Other programs have annoying watermarks on top of your video (like Camtasia).
I found that the easiest way to record my screen with Python was by using the open source program called SimpleScreenRecorder. This program has no watermarks or limitations on what parts of the screen it can record. The only downside is that it doesn’t have an in-game overlay like many other programs do, which means you’ll have to start and stop recording from outside of the game itself.
