How do I download IntelliJ?

Before downloading IntelliJ IDEA, ensure you have JDK 8 or higher installed on your system.

Below are the following steps to download IntelliJ IDEA on Windows -

  1. Visit Jetbrains website to download the IntelliJ IDEA.
  2. After downloading, navigate to the Download folder and run the installer. A security alert may pop up . Select ‘Run’.
  3. A welcome screen will be displayed. Follow the installation instructions by clicking Next.
  4. Choose the installation location and then click Next.
  5. You’ll be asked to create a desktop shortcut. After selecting shortcut, click Next.
  6. Select ‘JetBrains’ as the start menu folder (by default). Then tap Install.
  7. The IntelliJ IDEA installation will begin. After installation click Next > Finish.
