Does automation need coding?
In the past, automation testing was done by coding because automation testing is meant to make testing easier by reducing human effort. However, automated test cases can require extensive knowledge of programming. If a tester does not have this technical knowledge, he or she will probably not be able to create automated tests that can be run repeatedly during the software development life cycle (SDLC).
