Any personal recommendations for automation testing courses?

I have a bit of experience with automation testing tools like Nightwatch, Jenkins, and Cucumber, but I’m looking to expand my knowledge. I was recently laid off and want to continue learning while I’m between jobs.

Ideally, I’d love a course that not only teaches me the most commonly used tools in QA today but also dives into the theory behind automation testing.

I prefer something that is partially instructor-led, but I’m also open to self-paced programs. Free or paid courses are fine! If you’ve tried any, let me know what your experience was like and which course you’d recommend. Thanks!

@Jasminepuno I can totally relate! For something with instructor-led support, I’d recommend checking out Test Automation University.

They have a bunch of courses on automation tools like Selenium, Appium, and even tools like Postman for API testing. What I love about their courses is that they combine theory with practical examples.

It’s free, and they really take the time to explain the “why” behind the automation practices, not just the “how.”

I took a course with Udemy called Selenium WebDriver with Java - Basics to Advanced + Frameworks and it really helped me level up my automation skills.

They go over the Selenium framework in-depth and include useful tools like Maven, Jenkins, and TestNG. While it’s self-paced, the course is structured really well, and you get lifetime access to all the materials and updates.

It’s a great mix of theory and practice.

I recently finished a program at QA Training Institute, and it was a great experience. It’s partially instructor-led, so you get real-time support while also being able to learn at your own pace.

The course covers key automation tools like Selenium and Jenkins along with foundational theory on test automation.

The instructors are super knowledgeable, and they offer feedback on your projects, which really helped solidify my understanding.

It’s a paid course, but totally worth it if you want that guided learning experience.
