What are some good courses to get started with manual software testing/QA?

Hii!!

I’m new to software testing and QA and want to start learning manual testing. I’m looking for a structured course to help me get my feet wet in the field. It can be from Udemy or any other platform—just looking for something with good reviews and solid content to get started.

I’m hoping someone here can recommend a specific course or resource that will really walk me through the basics?

Thanks a million for any pointers! :sparkles:

Hi @nehagupta.1798  If you’re looking for something outside of Udemy, I’d suggest checking out Test Automation University. They have a comprehensive free course on manual testing called “Introduction to Manual Testing.” It’s a great starting point with a solid foundation in manual QA.

They also offer courses on automation if you want to branch out later on. Plus, it’s free, so you can’t go wrong there!

Hope you find this useful.

Hello @nehagupta.1798. I want to join in on this discussing about manual testing courses! Adding another resource to the list after the suggestion of Test Automation University by @mark-mazay.

You might want to look into LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com). They have a course called “Foundations of Manual Testing” that’s perfect for beginners. It’s structured and really dives into all the manual testing concepts you’ll need to know. It’s not too overwhelming and has clear examples that are easy to follow.

If you don’t have a subscription, they offer a free trial, so you could definitely test it out.

I hope this helps you to kick start your journey. :innocent:

Hello @nehagupta.1798 and fellow learners! Jumping into the thread about finding structured manual testing courses after hearing about Test Automation University and LinkedIn Learning.

I personally really liked TestPro.io’s Manual QA Bootcamp. It’s a bit more structured than the typical self-paced courses and gives you more guidance along the way. It covers the basics of manual testing, such as creating test cases, exploratory testing, and defect management.

The best part is the hands-on projects that help you apply the theory you learn. If you’re serious about starting your QA journey, this one is definitely worth considering.

Hope this review helps you make a decision! Wishing you all the best!
