Is it good or bad to start a career as a software tester QA?

Please anyone tell me whether is it good or bad to start a career as a software tester QA.

The present times are best for making a career as a software tester. The testing domain is thriving in the industry and with the new age of automation and organizations experimenting towards Agile Methodology, DevOps and IoT, the demand of a tester is greater without enough number of eligible candidates.
