I totally disagree!!. In fact, advancement of DevOps in all software development processes will transform testing into a specialized field of development. You can say that testing is an integral part of DevOps process, even though we talk very less about "Continuous Testing". DevOps focuses on speed because of which tech like automation testing will become an integral part of DevOps process.

Ask any modern project manager, the first step after their devs commit code in repository, is running automation builds to make sure the full build is correct. Now in small teams this automation code is done by the developer themselves, but in modern speciallized teams, we have dedicated automation engineers who work on creating whitebox and blackbox build test automations.

Testing is gonna shift from a domain of manual work to specialized automate work. DevOps is the future without a shred of doubt, but testing (automation) lies at the core of its improvement cycle.
